All About The Business

Once I was hooked on the idea of combining free machine embroidery and painting, I soon found myself with a house full of pictures and I wondered if there may be opportunities to sell them. This was encouraged by my family. I think they were just getting fed up of climbing over them!!.

If I was to take this step seriously, the first thing to do was to come up with a name. Not as easy as you might think.

I chose the name Cottonscape which reflects our beautiful landscape and, of course, the paintings are produced on calico cotton using conventional sewing cottons.

I also held workshops, teaching others how to use their sewing machines in this different way.
